Variables and Expressions

Variables: are symbols used to rpresent unspecified numbers or values.

Algebraic Expression: consists of one or more numbers and variables along with one or more arithmatic operations.

Factors: quantities being multiplied.

Product: the result of the factors being multiplied.

Evaluate: to find the result of a problem.

Examples:
a. eight more than a number.
thus your answer is 8+n

b.nine less than the product of six and three.
the answer is 6*3-9 6*3=18 18-9=9 So your final answer is 9

Expressions with exponets: 6³=6*6*6=216
